Partial discharge measurements on motors and generators can identify the ​weak spots in the insulation of stator windings. The PD sensors are installed on ​the three phases and on the neutral point to detect any PD signals of ​the HF range. Continuous monitoring of the system when applied can determine ​the condition of the insulation in the rotating machines.​​
